Established August 2017 Fetch Your Lead Dog Walking Services are a Team of dedicated and experienced Dog Walkers. Animal welfare is at the heart of everything that we do therefore all of our pet care professionals are Advanced Canine First Aid and CPR Trained. All our team are fully insured, and DBS checked. In addition all team members attain a qualification in Canine Body Language which is vital for the understanding of dogs in our care. Our service areas in Tameside include Ashton-Under-Lyne, Carrbrook, Denton, Dukinfield, Heyrod, Hyde, Millbrook, and Stalybridge. Kate is the founder of the business and is in to her fifth year of Dog Walking and Pet Services Career, which she absolutely adores and has never once looked back. Kate has a genuine love of animals and has an extensive knowledge of 'Bull Breeds' having been the proud owner of 'Archie' the beautiful Red Staffordshire Bull Terrier for fourteen and a half years. It was 'Archie' that gave her the drive to set up the business as the love, loyalty, companionship and friendship was something that no other being or job could offer. Archie enabled his owner to gain a thorough knowledge of a dogs development, training, health, behaviours, nutritional needs and well being from having 'Archie' as a Puppy to a Senior Boy. Further breeds which Kate has also been lucky to care for as Family Pets have been 'Danny' the English Bull Terrier and 'Sam' the Boxer. Ian (Kate's Dad) is a retired Police Inspector where he served Greater Manchester Police for 32 Years. Ian gave Kate the drive and confidence to build the business and has always been behind her every step of the way. Ian is experienced with our larger breeds such as Mastiffs, Rottweilers, Dobermanns, and American Bulls. All our Big Boys and Girls absolutely love their adventures with Ian and the bond they all share with him is fantastic. Ian played a huge part in the care and ownership of 'Archie' who adored his Grandad and loved going to stay and spend time with him. Again as a Dog Owner to an 'English Bull Terrier' and 'Boxer' it enabled him to see that his love and passion for dogs was something that he wanted to pursue with the Fetch Your Lead Team. Ian has been with the Team for four years and loves all that it has to offer. Heather who has been with the team since 2020 is a natural with dogs and will always go that extra mile to ensure that all dogs in her care have the most amazing of times. Heather's love of dogs came from ‘Bonnie’ a little mixture of everything who was a part of her life for twelve years. ‘Bonnie’ was not only a part of the family’s lives but everyone’s on the Street where they lived. She was a friendly, loving and slightly crazy dog that brought them so much joy. Having a dog in Heather’s life for so long instilled the love, dedication and passion it takes to look after all the dogs in her care. Heather is a real team player and not only an asset to the dogs but her colleagues too. Morgan absolutely adores all animals, especially dogs. Kate walked Morgan’s dog 'Otis' for three years prior to her joining the FYL team. The passion and love that Kate showed to 'Otis' inspired Morgan to have a complete change in career back in November 2020 and join the team herself. Morgan had a three legged Scottie ‘Billy’ for the first few years of her life, ‘Red’ the Staffordshire bull terrier who lived to 13 and then ‘Lloyd’ the Staffy. Lloyd had varying health problems and was a reactive dog with his own little quirks. He taught Morgan a lot about dogs, reactive dogs in particular. Morgan’s current dog, ‘Otis’ joins her on most walks and is a valued member of the FYL team. Morgan is currently completing additional courses to further her knowledge in beginners training, dog behaviour and dog anxiety. Nick is the newest member of our FYL team. He is the proud owner of the lovely black Labrador 'Vinny' who has been enjoying his group walks with Morgan and pals since he was just a few months old. Nick’s love of dogs means that there will be a new addition to his family very soon and 'Vinny' will have a playmate, a red fox Labrador pup. In addition Nick has two cats Tabby and Midnight who rule the roost. Nick spent many years working with troubled teenagers in residential homes before making the decision to have a total career change. His love of taking Vinny out on long walks in the hills and the freedom of great outdoors was his inspiration to make the leap to join the FYL Team. Nick spent time joining us on our dog walks to experience and understand exactly what it takes to become a successful and professional dog walker. Our priority is to provide the dogs with fun and stimulating walks whilst ensuring that their safety is paramount at all times. This is reflected in our positive customer feedback, Google and Facebook reviews, and customer loyalty. We strive to be the very best we can be by going above and beyond to ensure that the Gang have the most amazing adventures possible. We treat all dogs like our own and ensure that walks are tailored to suit the specific needs of every dog in our care. We understand the importance of different energy levels and personalities therefore walks are adapted to accommodate and ensure the happiness and comfort of all of our Gang. Not only is it important to ensure the safety of walks but also the transportation of dogs on collection and drop off. Therefore all of our vans are equipped with six professionally fitted crates allowing each dog to have their own personal space. Crates are supplied with water bowls, cooling mats for the summer period, and fleeces for colder weathers. Further to this we have professionally fitted air conditioning systems that work solely in the crated compartment to ensure that dogs have good ventilation at all times and are kept cool when necessary. We are trustworthy and reliable individuals, with a professional and personal approach in all that we do. Should you need help with Puppy Visits, Dog Walking, Pet Sitting, Pet Taxi or Pet Visits please do not hesitate to contact Fetch Your Lead Dog Walking Services. All The 'FYL' Team look forward to meeting both You and Your Fur Babies very soon! Kate, Ian, Morgan, Heather & Nick
