Wharfedale Dog Training

My aim is to build a bond of trust, respect, and affection between you and your dog; to helping you improve everyday tasks such as walking nicely on a lead, coming when called, having self-control, and greeting people and other dogs calmly, to name but a few. I am currently finishing my studies towards my Bsc in Canine Behaviour Management, and have worked as a dog trainer both running puppy classes and offering 121 training for 4 years. All training is positive and reward-based, training is not only about teaching your dog, but also observing their body language, ensuring they are happy and comfortable when undertaking any activity. Positive training is a great way to develop a common language based on mutual trust, respect, and love which guides dogs into making the right choices without damaging the relationship with the owner. Through positive training and avoiding the pitfalls of dominance and punishment-based training, we can build relationships with our canine companions to deliver gentle, effective management and to better understand their needs. ​
