Great guide to a fabulous place and, IMHO, a perfect place for a holiday with a dog. I’ve been visiting the Islands for nearly 40 years, the last few with my 4 yr old Black Lab, Juno, and it is an ideal place for human and canine walking and swimming. Relaxed and unpretentious, I’ve not found anywhere that isn’t dog friendly. We travel on the Scillonian which caters well for dogs. The main beaches on St Mary’s (Porthcressa, Porth Mellon and Old Town beach) don’t allow dogs from Mar -Sep, but there is plenty of other choice. I’m biased, because I love the place, and it may not suit all but, there’s nowhere else Juno and I would rather go !
