The best cafe in the area by far. Super dog themed and dog friendly. They even have a shop area and grooming room just for dogs! The dog menu is amazing and unique, and the staff are so attentive and helpful

The hideaway is the BEST venue in southsea hands down! Not only are they absolutely amazing with dogs, but they are so family friendly too. Roo was very nervous when we first adopted him, the hideaway was the first place he enjoyed going, the team are all so welcoming and they are able to offer tips & treats for dogs (as well as their amazing dog menu!) Chloe is utterly amazing (with us & Roo!) we LOVE the hideaway!

This cafe has everything equipped to spoil your pups from a dog menu to dog grooming, even sip n paint classes where you can paint a picture of your own dog, it’s also human friendly with a lovely contemporary menu with all sorts of activities such as a regular pub quiz , sip n paint many other things going on…

They have been open a year today from the moment they opened to now, has been amazing. Friendly and welcoming staff, an amazing dog menu plus human menu which cater for all, the cafe throughout has a lovely interior and so welcoming. Wonderful events seen no where else, this is the most dog friendly place I’ve been in Portsmouth but not only Portsmouth other city’s as well, I will continue to keep returning.

Perfect cafe which is super dog friendly. There is dog grooming parlour available, treats and dog wear to purchase and an extensive doggy food/drink menu. Staff are always super friendly and there is plenty of space to sit comfortably with your doggy.

It’s the best dog friendly business I’ve ever seen. A wonderful cafe that serves its own dog menu and drinks, alongside its grooming salon, photography studio and dog shop, it’s truly any dog owners dream venue.

A great place for both dogs and humans! Very friendly and professional. Chloe and the team work hard for the community, putting on events from poetry reading to quizzes and exercise classes. For dogs she has a dog menu, a groomer, pet photographer, a shop where you can get all your doggy essentials and all the usual things such as water bowls, blankets, and dog treats. The cafe has also helped to create jobs and rejuvenate the local neighbourhood.

My reason is That Chloe gas really worked very hard to get were she is mow and the hideaway offers so much for customers who has dogs and even if you do not gave a dog and the menu for the doggies is great they well deserve the award for best dog friendly cafe and they put all sorts of events on for people that has dogs amazing place

The Hideaway is not just dog friendly, but it is made FOR dogs. It is truly centred around Dogs, from ball pits and blankets to an entire dog menu. Not only that, all the staff are so friendly and accommodating and no ask is too big. It’s a friendly venue with a mixture of events on all the time and one of my favourite places to be.

The Hideaway is one of the most welcoming dog friendly cafe there is with blankets, towels, water and dog menu! A groomers and a photographer to get your furry friends picture done. I can no recommend this company enough, visited multiple times and the dogs love it every time.

Absolutely incredible staff, a wonderful aesthetic that allows both dog owners and lovers to enjoy watching them as you tuck into some incredible food! Walls are painted with incredibly accurate murals of what I was told are local dogs too, as well as other bits which help tie everything together.
An all round enjoyable experience for all!

I’ve never known a more dog friendly place! The dog menu is outstanding, the puppies you get to meet when you’re in there is award itself and they not only have the menu, but they also have an in house groomer, doggy photographer, dog training and they hold paint chill co paint your pet events to go with the friendly theme!

Myself and the two doggies love it here - it’s spacious, equipped with all their needs, and we all adore the food! They always provide us with a bowl filled with water for the pooches, which is perfect after a long walk.
This cafe/groomer/pet supply store/entertainment venue is the first of its kind in Portsmouth and I must say a pleasant relief for myself and the fellow dog owners of this area - we can sit in the comfy chairs and have a coffee and a cake whilst knowing all our dogs’ needs are being catered for.

I have never been to a place where dogs are more welcome!!
You can tell the owner really loves dogs and has thought about them in every aspect of her business from the decor (which dogs are welcome to sit on) to the walls -covered in beautiful dog themed designs. There is even a menu specially just for dogs including doggy cocktails. Oh AND they have teamed up with other local small businesses to offer other doggy services in store including a doggy salon, photo studio, treat shop and even paint your pet workshops.

You won’t find a more dog friendly cafe than the Hideaway. The atmosphere is friendly & welcoming for both humans & dogs. The intricate details make it a brilliant environment for dogs. The creative menu for dogs make it hard to choose & the food for humans is also delicious. The staff always make you feel welcome. There is also the added bonus of special events that you can attend with your dog!

The Hideaway is an amazing local and independent cafe. They strive to make everyone and their doggy friends welcome! There is lots of choice for dogs and their humans to eat and drink as well the dogs own hair salon, shop full of wonderful treats and a photography studio for your pups to pose! With many events for everyone the Hideaway is an excellent place to have a lunch date, a coffee and cake. Pit stop to hydrate you and your dog during your walks. A nice open large space which is accessible for all! Staff are welcoming, friendly and very chatty!
