I attend quizes and have meals at the Pontardawe Inn. Some of my friends have dogs and the Pontardawe Inn gives their dogs a warm welcome. Dog owning customers enjoy a friendly, relaxed and happy visit knowing their dogs are included too.

What an amazing pub, staff are so friendly and welcoming, lovely riverside walk for doggos first followed by a fabulous meal, doggos get their own extensive menu and free treats at the bar. Mine won't leave until they've had their sausage 😂.

Extremely friendly atmosphere for both people and dogs equally. Staff are all friendly, dogs are welcome to walk around off lead and all staff will stroke them and show attention. Dog treats on bar too.

Love that the Pontardawe Inn is so dog friendly. The beer garden here is fantastic and there's always a friendly furry face around to greet you with a wagging tail. Plenty of dog treats available too and always bowls of water available.

This pub and all it's staff is amazing, especially the wonderful Sion and Michelle. A fab welcome given every time to all of us especially my 2 dogs, never any trouble to get water for them, they love the dog menu, and won't allow us to go for a walk without popping in for a sausage, they refuse to get in the car. 😂.

Every time I've been she has always felt very at home and the staff are great with her.

We have been to the pub on a number of occasions and everytime we all get a great welcome , including our dog. The owner will spend a bit of time with each dog, making sure all is well.
There is always water available for dogs and treats on the bar too. They even have a doggy menu so our 4 legged friends can eat with us.
The atmosphere is great and all of the staff work exceptionally hard but are forever smiling.

My husband and me enjoy walking our dogs along the swansea canal up to the pontardawe inn and always receive a warm welcome, extremely dog friendly, a member of staff can never walk past without greeting our dogs and offering treats and water. The beer garden is suitable for any weather and is definitely worth stopping for a drink or a bite to eat with your dogs if youre passing!

My very first visit some months back, after a long wet walk in the rain, I asked if my dogs could come in bearing in mind they're rather wet, and an immediate yes of course they can. Our doggie always gets a warm welcome and is treated so well by Sion & the team. They go over and above to provide her with water & treats and there is also a reasonably priced doggie snack menu available, which is a nice touch!

It's a fabulous friendly local where we can happily take our dogs all year round. The managers and staff are all very welcoming.
As well as doing food and drinks for humans, there are doggy snacks on the bar and you always order you pooch a cooked treat.
Pontardawe Inn definitely deserves a 5 star rating.

It's so hard to find places for dogs that are local to nature spaces, where everyone excepts the dogs not just as guests but also for food. The Pontardawe Inn has its own puppy menu to cater for the canines and a lovely menu to cater for customers. Definitely worth a return visit

The most dog friendly pub I’ve ever been to with our 2 dogs.
The dogs are greeted just like the humans are. There’s free treats on the bar for the dogs, there’s a dog food menu, bowls where your dogs can have water. And all the staff will always fuss every single dog that walks through the door. They take time with nervous dogs too! They are absolutely AMAZING and I would highly recommend the pub for anyone looking to go for a meal or drink if they want to take their dog with them!

The Pontardawe Inn is in my view, one of the friendliest pubs I have been too in many a year. Went for a day out on the weekend, and came across the Pontardawe Inn. Staff and management team so friendly, that it made you feel important. I will definitely be going back.

Superb food and hospitality- how many places can you go and truly eat as a family (fur baby included) and get such a quality experience both food and atmosphere.
Our pup Minnie the Vizsla was spoilt - waited on hand and foot with treats and water, and we were blown away by the fuss and the puppy menu! Can’t wait to come back and feel so lucky to have such an amazing place to visit right on our door step! We’ll be back!

Arriving in south wales with our little dog we decided on a Sunday roast in Pontardawe Inn, good food , BUT, they also had nice little bones for our Vinny and a bowl of water. He could run around and play with other dogs .
The staff threated him as a king. A few days later we returned and got the same attention. if you love dogs , Pontardawe Inn is the place to relax have a nice drink and a good meal , with your dog.

Sion and Michelle were very welcoming, and even allowed us to use empty function room on a busy Rugby International match day so my dog had some space to avoid the crowds. Food is top notch and the dog menu meant that my dog could get his very own chicken breast (other options are available) ridiculously cheap. We have been before and will definitely keep coming.

Took my puppy Morgan to the Pontardawe Inn today, this was his first ever pub visit. It was instantly clear that the pub was dog friendly because the staff made him feel really relaxed and comfortable. They gave him water, and some treats and told me about their dog friendly menu for when he is a little older. Morgan settled well in the pub whilst I enjoyed a meal with my family. What makes the pub even better is that there is a lovely dog walk just outside which I am looking forward to exploring. What a lovely positive first visit to a pub for Morgan.
