Extremely dog friendly! Enclosed garden and wraparound veranda means you can relax knowing your dog is safe. Dogs allowed on the furniture and even the beds if you bring your own bedding.. his fantastic is that?! Can leave your dog unattended if you needed to, Ali the owner will dog sit. Warm dog shower, shampoos, towels etc and assorted sized collars with holiday tags on. Brilliant!

We spent an incredible 5 days here. The location is perfect, scenic, and very peaceful. The lodge is modern, clean and well equipped with everything you could need and more for us and our two dogs.
Incredibly secure garden and verandah meaning we could relax while fishing or using the hot tub. The dog ramp provided was fantastic for both our senior dog, and dachshund to safely access the garden. Ali was a brilliant host, and was happy to provide duck food refills for us on request as our child loved feeding them.
We look forward to booking another visit soon. Thank you Ali!

Fantastic relaxing getaway . Ali’s attention to detail enabled us to relax with our dog Scooby. Every area in and around the lodge was partitioned off enabling us to ensure Scooby was safe and secure . Dog blankets , leads, bowls,and Scooby snacks were there if we needed them . It was nice not having to compromise luxury just because we have a dog . Thanks Ali we had a great time x

Lovely lodge with all the home comforts and fencing needed to keep dogs happy and safe. Nice outdoor spaces, sunny and shaded. Crates, bowls, treats, spare leads and collars, hard floors and a soft rug. Poo bags for those of us who seemed to lose ours on route! Everything has been considered to make this a happy, relaxing and stress free holiday for dogs and their humans.

Perfect dog friendly accommodation. From the moment we arrived the dogs were free and safe to roam. The gate system allows you to close off areas or let the dogs have the run of the entire area. Back door and front door can be open without the worry of the dogs escaping. It was the most relaxing time I have been away with my dogs. They and I felt very much at home.

Lovely colourful place and so dog friendly. Love that I can have my dog on the sofa and in bed with my own bedding. Makes such a difference to other places. Great welcome pack, view and so comfortable. I like that I can let my dog straight out to wee and not worry about him escaping or going in the lake thanks to the fence and gate options.

The most colourful and quirky lodge we've stayed in. It's so bright and cheery and our doggo can finally sit on the sofa or snuggle in bed with us without us having to destroy all evidence straight after 🤣 it's great that he can go straight out to the grassed area too, something I always look for so I don't have to put his lead on in the middle of the night for a quick wee.
The view from the living room is gorgeous and no matter the weather we can sit for hours just watching the lake. Very relaxing times here and we'll be back again

First doggy holiday for 4 years due to mobilty problems The lodge was very accessible for myself and three dogs .we were rained In for four days but the lodge was home from home .safe secure outside areas for my tinys,I was able to relax knowing they could not escape. The Lakeside retreat is situated on a beautiful lake,the views are breath taking, the most relaxing place I have ever stayed. When you have dogs most places that say they allow them , just do that , but the retreat is so geared up for dogs staying , it makes it their holiday too, which then makes it more relaxing for you, the owner has thought of everything you may possibly need , for yourselves and the dogs , she is always on hand should you have a queries or encounter a problem, nothing is too much trouble for her, she clearly wants you to have a great stay. There's everything u need from loo roll to kayaks, towels for both you and the dogs and her welcome pack thinks of all the guests staying , she clearly takes all the guests needs into account. If you haven't stayed ... you're missing out !!!

We stayed at the Lakeside Retreat with our two dogs for a week's holiday 9th - 16th June 2023. We knew from previous reviews and comments that the accommodation would be good, but we were absolutely delighted at just how good it actually was! The lodge was bigger than expected, meticulously clean, and well equipped with very close attention to detail. We immediately felt the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the place, so were able to settle in within minutes of arriving.
The uninterrupted views across the lake were a joy to wake up to .... so beautiful and peaceful. There was a large canopy to protect us from the full sun over the front of the veranda, and we were very grateful for the air conditioning inside. That alone was a thoughtful luxury rarely seen in any UK holiday home. We also enjoyed the top of the range hot tub overlooking the lake .... another very special treat!
There are many places that are dog friendly, but this one went far beyond anything we had experienced before! Not only did the owners provide a lovely welcome pack for us two-legged guests, the dogs had theirs too, along with treats, comfy beds, bowls, an enclosed garden to run around in, gates separating the different areas to keep them safe, and permission to climb on the furniture (protected with our own throws). They also had their own warm outside shower and even collars embroidered with details of where they were staying. The only thing we needed to bring was their food and leads!
I can honestly say that this was the best holiday I'd taken with my dog in 15 years! I recommend it to anyone at any time of year. We will most certainly be coming back!

Our trip away was amazing, we have 2 dogs and the accommodation was set up very well, the way the gates have been placed and the glass balcony means the dogs are secure but can see you through the glass even if you venture down onto the jetty. On arrival there was some lovely gifts left and also treats for our dogs. We will certainly be returning.

Just returned home yesterday from a week spent at this gorgeous lodge. Went with my 15 year old son and our Lab. Stunning, peaceful location and the friendly owners have thought of lots of little touches which make it different from your normal holiday let. My son was able to go out on his paddle board every day from the lodge’s own jetty and fed the ducks, geese and swans - he wants to move there!!

Tallington Lakes is truly dog friendly.
The outside space is totally secure. They is a warm water tap with attachments to wash down your pooches ( there is even dog shampoo)
Inside there is everything supplied for a four legged guest.
Towels, food bowls, treats, spare leads, even a crate if needed.
The owners just request you bring your own throws/bedding if your dog is used to a cuddle on the settee or sleeps next to you at night. This is a true gem. So many places don't allow this. This makes for a very relaxing stay knowing that you are not freting about furniture etc.
The site is also dog friendly with plenty of poo bins around the lake and the onsite pub/ restaurant are very happy to have dogs. Peggy was brought a bowl of water and a treat before I'd had time to look at the menu!
I have stayed once before and booked another stay before leaving.

We were actually a bit blown away on arrival. This is a stunning property, beautifully decorated with THE most incredible views across the lakes- and perfectly set up with well positioned gates to ensure our pup was safe and easy to ensure he was not near the water.
Children and adults and our pup had the best time- we we able to SUP and kayak together as the owner so kindly dog sat for us.
We also climbed, swam in the pool, in the lake, tobogganed, chilled, and it was still so so relaxing due to the location of that deck…
Pup was happy to watch the birds from there too.
We have booked to return. What better recommendation than that?
The lodge is super spacious, fab storage space and even had a bath!
We just loved it - super relaxing.

There’s so many places for walks or you can just laze on the gorgeous patio area and watch your dog jump from the attached jetty into the lake for a swim. There is absolutely everything in the retreat for your dog including toys! And yes. Your dog can sit with you on the sofa! Harlow absolutely loved it here and we will definitely be returning.

Amazing place to take the dogs for a relaxing break. Very dog friendly and secure garden, bowls, beds etc all provided. Owners are very accommodating when it comes to having dogs there!

It's a gorgeous place to relax and have fun at the same time! Loved morning coffees overlooking the lake and my doggo soon settled in, was great to know it was all fenced around the lodge and I could just let him plod around and explore too. He just sat watching ducks for ages and eating treats! Love that it's so dog friendly. Comfy bed and everything else we needed was there. We'll be back!

Had a fantastic stay here.. so much to do and look at.. had lots to eat watched the ducks for hours...sunbathed on the deck area..I was so chilled...ohh best not forget to say my humans had a great time aswell!!!!
