We have just visited Kelso for the first time with our 20 month old shiba inu. The shops, restaurants, and accommodation were all dog friendly with spaces for dogs and their owners to enjoy. Water bowls were readily available on the streets and with clean water! We will all definitely return.

I was born in Kelso but moved away when I was little. I have always thought of Kelso as my home town and I visit every year to visit family. Everywhere we went we took our dog (she sadly passed away unexpectedly last November), she was always welcomed and was always fussed by all who passed us in the square, the park and anywhere else we ventured. I work promoting Kelso on visitkelso.com, and our Facebook page and can see just how many businesses in town welcome Dogs. We have a dedicated logo on our member listings for ‘Dog Friendly’ so that visitors can easily see where they can stay, visit and shop with Dogs while in Kelso too.
We even gathered several Kelso businesses together for ‘Take your Dog to Work Day’ in June for a group photo of owners and Dogs in Kelso Square.
