So glad we finally visited. Loved it!

Lovely dog friendly museum. We even had allocated tables in WinStans Cafe. Lovely to be able to all eat inside - out of the showery rain.

Lots of space for our German Shepherd to investigate. Nice to see full water bowls & plenty of helpful advise on entering the huts -if there was going to be loud noises etc.

Absolutely jam packed full of history!

Very respectfully exhibited considering the subject is warfare. Nice to see areas within some of the huts where you could take a moment to pay your respects at a monument marked with poppy wreaths & names of the Fallen.

You need more than the recommended 4 hours to fully immerse yourself in the experience

Or....buy a season ticket (which we've done today!) & then you have a whole 12 months to explore & educate yourself as often as you like!

We felt the only thing that let the museum down was the gift shop. We were looking forward to browsing through books that appertained to the subject matter of the museum.

Sadly, a lot of the 'gifts' were irrelevant - lots of plastic tat I'm sorry to say.

This was a minor irritation & didn't spoil our overall enjoyment spending a day at the museum.

Many thanks for maintaining this incredibly important piece of history.
