Just returned from one of the properties, fabulous holiday and perfect for our dogs. Highly recommend for a stay in the west country.

We have been going to Boturnell cottages for many years now…super dog friendly and the owners are very helpful and friendly too, nothing is too much trouble …very clean when you arrive. They supply crates if needed. Properties are well equipped , views and dog walking from your doorstep.. can’t wait to go back again!!!

They really do welcome dogs, free of charge.

They were SO dog friendly. Dogs allowed anywhere in the property, a fenced off 'doggie garden' inside the main one, a lovely woodland where dogs can run free offlead and a really peaceful, quiet place, ideal for our nervous rescue dog. Also, they don't mind you leaving the dog unattended in the property for short periods, so great if you need to pop out for food and the dog won't enjoy the car journey.

We stayed here (in Beau Tunnel, the converted nissen hut) for our honeymoon, just after lockdown lifted - the place was immaculate, including steam-cleaned soft furnishings, so no worries about infection. It is in a beautiful location, with a secluded garden, including a separate gated area just for the dog. Waking up in the morning, all you can hear is birdsong and the wind in the trees. Breakfast on the patio overlooking the cornfields is a highlight in good weather, and when it rained, we all (four paws included) enjoyed curling up in front of the woodburner.
Dogs must be kept on leads around the farmyard to protect livestock, but a short on-lead walk through fields takes you to a woodland and stream where they can run free. There are several dog-friendly beaches within a 30 minute drive, including Parr Beach, which has very gentle waves, so ideal for dogs who are not used to water.
Our nervous rescue dog was relaxed and happy within a few minutes of arriving, and loved every minute of her holiday. The owners are happy for dogs to be left unattended in the property for short periods (they trust you to know if your dog will be happy with this), which was ideal for us, as our girl tires easily and is happiest snoozing in her bed after an energetic walk, so we were able to go out for food etc without having to take her with us. We had a wonderful week and can't wait to go back - highly recommended to anyone looking for a dog-friendly Cornish holiday.
