The Savvy Baker
(1 review)
Visit our cafe, full of all the sweet treats you could ever need, including Brownies, Cookies and Blondies! We are dog friendly, with a water bowl at the door, doggie treats available to purchase, and a Dog Wall of Fame; with our four legged customers papped for our photo wall.
Read MoreThe Savvy Baker launched in lock down, after a few days of boredom baking became well received by friends, and the business bloomed from there. Over the next 3 years, the Savvy Baker went from a small flat to a full bakery unit, employing multiple staff and hosting pop up locations throughout the UK. In 2022, we took a big step and launched our Savvy Baker café on Lidgett Lane in Roundhay Leeds. There we sell a range of hot and cold drinks, and sell our own locally baked Brownies, Cookies, Brookies and more, plus stock Pick n Tricks, a local doggie pick n mix brand. We are completely dog friendly, with a feature wall full of images of each four legged friend who enters our cafe, so come and visit for a chance to be included! We have a dog bowl at the door, and complementary dog biscuits at the till. We seat 20 within the cafe, and in the warmer months have benches outside to enjoy the British weather. A toilet is available within store. We're less than 1 mile from the popular Roundhay Park, and the bus stop for the 13A bus stops directly outside our door. We can't wait for you to come and visit, and bring you pooch along with you!

What a lovely little cafe and so welcoming of dogs. After being warmly greeted I was immediately asked if a picture could be taken of my Sheltie and this was on the Doggie Wall of Fame before I'd even reached a decision about which of the many different baked treats I was going to try. I went for a white chocolate brownie (blondie) with pieces of mini chocolate egg in it. Absolutely gorgeous!
The hardest thing was resisting the temptation to purchase a take away box so I could try more of these incredibly appetising brownies at home. My dog and I will definitely be returning for more.
