The Longholme

The Longholme is hidden back from the main road (The Embankment, Bedford) by the butterfly bridge. You can find the cafe on Longholme Island between the upper & lower Great River Ouse. The Longholme Cafe sits lake side with ever changing views and plentiful wildlife. You can enjoy a full-on brunch or lunch, or you can pop in for a coffee if you're feeling less peckish. This is an outside only venue but provides heaters and blankets should the weather be cold. During the summer season the cafe also operate boat & bike hire (see website for opening times and information). The cafe has dedicated dog treats for the dogs, both free ones and gluten free handmade ones as well as doggie bowls for water. The owners ask to keep your dog on a lead.
