A fascinating place for those of a certain age, our children and grandchildren. Lots and lots of WW2 memorabilia to start conversations. There's a small shop on site that sell lots and lots of handmade and manufactured goods of the period; lots of toys from the 1940s and 50s and many different sorts of sweets from my childhood (I'm 1951 baby). The cafe is great for breakfast, lunch, teas and snacks, and I believe it does a Sunday carvery too. Food is cooked on site and is great. Dogs are allowed in the outdoor seating and upstairs indoors. The friendly and very helpfil staff will bring a bowl and a jug of water for your dog and there are dog meals on the menu too. Definitely not to be missed if you are in the area.
