The Spinners Arms

We're a very friendly, cosy village pub on the outskirts of Carlisle. We've had the pub for 15 years and bought it because we wanted the kind of pub we liked to visit - welcoming, warm and dog friendly. Our bar staff generally look after the dogs first, there's always a bowl of water, towels and treats available - they certainly get more photos put on facebook than their owners! Although we don't do food, we do make our own real ale, which we serve on 4 handpulls - we've been in every CAMRA Good Beer Guide since 2008. There are loads of great places to walk your dogs near the pub and although it's a bit of a walk from Carlisle, on a sunny day it's lovely to walk by the river and up the hill.
