We’re a 15th-century pub situated in the heart of the city of Canterbury offering a great place to eat, drink and laugh.
We welcome all dogs, and every four legged customer is welcomed with treats and a water bowl.
We have an eclectic selection of beer, ale, and cider for your drinking pleasure. Our wine and spirit collection has been picked with accessibility in mind; lots of choices and something for everyone… and if you have time, check out our top shelf whiskey collection.
We also serve Thai food from Thai Rice London. Thai Rice was founded in 2002 on Portobello Road. Using traditional family recipes and fresh ingredients to produce authentic Thai cuisine, the restaurant has enjoyed a great deal of success and led to the owners opening more restaurants in London City and Newark. We are proudly the only venue to serve Thai food in central Canterbury.
We offer discounts to students, OAPS, CAMRA members and are proud to also offer dog friendly subscribers a discount.

Frank and i visited the pub today to be welcomed by James, who quickly served frank a bowel of water and some treats.
I had a pint of the ale which was reasonably priced, and very tasty. I also ordered some food from their thai menu which was stunning.
The pub is gorgeous, and spotless and James made sure me and Frank were Welcome.
He also suggested we join this website!
Will certainly visit again to meet milo!
