My friend and I were warmly welcomed into the pub and unlike some establishments that only allow dogs in certain areas, we had the option to sit anywhere we wished. On our way to the table we were asked if we would like a bowl of water for our dogs which confirmed this was certainly a dog friendly establishment.
There was a good range of options on the menu from lighter snacks to huge mixed grills, all with a choice of potatoes, chips, veg or salad etc. I can recommend the flaky pastry cheese & onion pie with chunky chips and salad; very tasty, beautifully cooked and in generous quantity.
Definitely worth another visit next time we are walking in the area!
