The Penny Farthing

The Penny Farthing is an independent hotel in the centre of Berkhamsted, just 6 minutes’ walk from Berkhamsted Railway Station. Whether you're here for business or leisure, you're sure of a good night's sleep. Not only thanks to the super-comfy beds in stylishly appointed rooms, but also because we're set back from Berkhamsted's high street. Guests can drift off in peace, happy in the knowledge that their car is tucked away in our private car park. Guests can enjoy dinner at our sister site, The King’s Arms, just down the high street or a free pass for the local gym arranged by our staff.

Situated in a Grade II Listed building, the 19 en-suite rooms are individually designed with luxury bathrooms, air conditioning, flat-screen TVs, tea/coffee making facilities and a small safe. Breakfast is served every morning in the informal breakfast room. Guests can choose from a range of hot and cold dishes, traditional cooked breakfast, porridge, cereals and continental breakfast.
