The Outlook

Purpose built as a hotel in 1936, Stuart and Peter were delighted to acquire The Outlook in April 2024. After extensive redecoration, complete refurbishment of the front bedrooms and en-suites, a warm Yorkshire Welcome awaits you and your dogs. Please call or email about available dog spaces. The accommodation is over the first and second floors. (Sorry no lift) Upon arrival, enjoy complimentary tea or coffee and home baking. We hope you enjoy a comfortable night's sleep followed by a hearty Yorkshire breakfast in our breakfast room with views over the garden. With its own car park to the rear and a beautiful private garden to the front overlooking the woods with seating to enjoy a drink. Being fully licenced, The Outlook has a cosy bar, stocked with a good selection of wines, beers and spirits, many locally sourced. The Outlook is set a quiet and peaceful area of Scarborough over looking the trees of Peasholm Park and Glen but yet is only a 10 minute stroll to the Open Air Theatre, Beach, Peasholm Park and attractions of Scarborough's North Bay. It is only a little further to Scarborough Cricket ground, where a festival is held every year. Also easily accessible are the other attractions of Scarborough including The Castle, The Spa Theatre with the last remaining seaside classical Orchestra, The Stephen Joseph theatre, museums, shops, restaurants and bars. The Outlook would also make an ideal base for travelling further afield to the Historic town of Whitby, or a trip into the North Yorkshire Moors, a day trip to Filey or Inland to The North Yorkshire Railway at Pickering or a day at the food market in Malton.
