Inn on the Shore

The Inn on the Shore is set amongst the unspoiled coastline and countryside of South East Cornwall and offers panoramic views of Rame Peninsula in one direction and Looe Island in the other.

Located just above Downderry Beach, the Inn on the Shore is family and dog friendly, offering a warm welcome to everyone.

From our kitchen you can enjoy our delicious seasonal menu with something for everyone and every occasion. We have two dining areas; one with sliding doors to let the outside in and one with a large picture window looking out to sea. (Please note only one dining area is currently open with the other opening in August)

Behind the bar we have a great range of local ales including our own beer ‘It’s a Shore Thing’, as well as a wide selection of exciting craft beers, refreshing lagers and fine wines.

During the winter months we have a double-sided woodburner in the dining area and another one in the bar area with soft seating for you to enjoy a pre-dinner drink or coffee and cake in the morning.

Our lounge bar offers a TV for all the major sporting events and a juke box.

The outside areas wrap around three sides of the pub with a large car park. The grassed area has a children’s play area, then to the front of the pub and to the side we have seating areas with stunning sea views.

We are now taking bookings for our five beautifully – refurbished en-suite rooms, we will have another three rooms available late August. Three of these are even dog friendly! All rooms have TVs, tea & coffee facilities, hair dryers and pre-booked cots are available.
