This historic building is the ideal place for a getaway and boasts history linking to the battle of Culloden, Robert Burns, famous astronomer James Ferguson and more. Along with historic famous figures, we have hosted some modern famous figures such as the cast of Peaky Blinders (Cillian Murphy) staying with us whilst filming. "Come for the history, stay for the hospitality" is our moto!

Durn house go above and beyond for our companions and make them feel so welcomed along with having plenty grounds for a morning walk. Treats, bed, bowls & towels all included at a very small price of £30. Best hotel in the north east for bringing a fluffy family member!
