Its 2 Rosette restaurant is one of the best places to go to savour fine dining on 'The Misty Isle.' Gazing down on the Sound of Sleat and over to the Knoydart wilderness, it was built as a hunting lodge in 1865. Its 17 bedrooms, including grand four-poster doubles, and cottage enjoy views over mature woodlands or command sea views towards the mountains of the West Highlands. Dogs are charged £25 per night which includes a personalised welcome pack and 'doggy goodie bag'.
