74 Belgravia is situated in Torquay’s prestigious Victorian area, the property dates back to 1875 and was originally built for The Royal Navy. It's prime location means we are just a short walk to the beach, passing the bowling green, gardens and Torquay tennis club on your way. It's also a short walk to The English Riviera Conference Centre and this location is always popular with conference and business guests. Torre Abbey is around 8 minutes’ walk from the guest house offering interesting exhibitions throughout the year as well as its lovely meadows and gardens. The town centre is within easy walking distance via the promenade where you will find the Princess Theatre, Torquay Marina and harbourside with open air cafés and a lively shopping centre. If you are not feeling that energetic, there are bus stops and taxis only a couple of minutes away and the Agatha Christie Bus Stop is only a few minutes walk from the front door. Torquay has many fabulous places to eat including some lovely fish restaurants where the local catch of the day is usually available. Each room has tea and coffee making facilities, a TV, an en-suite shower room and high speed Wi-Fi is available in every room throughout the building. If you have booked with the breakfast rate, you will be able to select full English breakfast from our Menu. We request that the breakfast selection is left on our reception counter by 8pm the previous evening. If you have booked the room only rate and change your mind, don't worry, simply complete the menu selection slip and leave it on the reception counter. We can take payment in the breakfast room. Breakfast is served daily between 8.15am and 9.30am. We also offer vegetarian, gluten and dairy free breakfasts on request. Dogs cannot be allowed in the breakfast room, but if you wish to have breakfast, we have a room service menu for guests who do not wish to leave their dogs alone. This can be found on the reverse of your Breakfast Menu card, but please give us at least 24 hours’ notice if you do wish to take advantage of the service. We love dogs and are very happy to welcome them into our Guest House. We have our own Black Labrador called Molly who is very passive and extremely friendly. On arrival, you will receive a complimentary Dog Hospitality Box to help your canine companion settle in. It contains a towel. soft bed, silicone feeding mat, dog bowl and a few handy things to make your dog’s stay a little more comfortable. We can also provide a dog sitting service should you wish to go out for a few hours in the evening, to take in a show at the Princess Theatre or dine out. There is a small fee per hour for this and it is subject to availability. Details can be given on check in.
