Our experienced and qualified grooming stylists engage and consult in detail with pooch parents to ensure their requirements are met so the styling fits with both our human and canine clients’ needs.
Animal welfare is our top priority and our relaxed and welcoming environment ensures that our four-legged clients feel safe and secure during their time with us. They are never left alone nor held in cages and we do not have any cabin dryers. All our canine clients are dried lovingly by hand. We have a one-way mirror so pooch parents can view our entire grooming operation and feel confident that their beloved furry-friend is treated with the utmost respect and care at all times.
The vision of Paws for Thought Groomers and Retreats was created by our passionate founder, Julie Lindsay, and her desire to combine her two favourite things – pooches and a love of being pampered plus her deep belief in and commitment to animal welfare.
We understand that part of caring for our four-legged friends is ensuring they are clean, healthy and comfortable at all times. That’s why we provide a superior grooming service to help pooch parents achieve this.
We are creating a new era in dog grooming - we offer a completely ethical service where pooches' welfare is first and foremost. We groom by appointment only and, unlike any other salon we know, all our appointments are scheduled for two hours. We do this to allow each of our furry clients time to settle into their treatment and enjoy the experience without being hurried through the process which can cause stress and anxiety.
We only dry by hand and never in a cage.
These services come along with our elite boutique offering a beautiful range of products, providing everything from beds and toys to food and toiletries. Paws for Thought Groomers and Retreats is indeed the place where paws are put first.
