Waddesdon Manor
Waddesdon Manor was built by Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild between 1874 and 1885 to display his collection of arts and to entertain the fashionable world. Opened to the public in 1959, Waddesdon Manor is home to the Rothschild Collections of paintings, sculpture and decorative arts.
Read MoreThere is a history of beloved dogs at Waddesdon Manor; Ferdinand de Rothschild, the creator of the Manor, performed tricks in the East Gallery with his four-legged companion Poupon the poodle. Today, dogs are still welcome at Waddesdon to share an enjoyable day out with their families.
With five routes to choose from, you can enjoy a scenic walk through the fields and woods while admiring the surrounding views of Aylesbury Vale. Collect a dog-friendly visitor map when you arrive at the Welcome Pavilion or purchase an illustrated dog map, highlighting the best places to enjoy with your dog, which afterwards becomes a keepsake of your visit.
Treat your dog to Poupon’s Doggy Bag, ensuring that they don’t miss out on any of the fun. Including a toy, bag of treats, and a sorbet, you can relax together at one of our dog friendly pit stops or share a picnic while you explore the estate.
