The Heights of Abraham
(1 review)
The Heights of Abraham is a tourist attraction in Matlock Bath, Derbyshire, England. It consists of a hilltop park on top of Masson Hill, accessed from the village by either the Heights of Abraham cable car or a steep zig-zag path. The heights are named after a supposed resemblance to the Plains of Abraham, also known as the Heights of Abraham, in Quebec, Canada, where James Wolfe died in battle.

This is a dog friendly place however if solely visiting with you dog for walks it's a disgrace. The price is around £27pp (a little cheaper if you buy tickets online) however the vast majority of the walking route which is highlighted as their dog walk are actually public bridle ways (which they fail to mention anywhere online or when selling you a ticket). If visit with family and children then there are activities which are included in the price. But if looking for a walk with the pooch that has great views then remember the vast majority of the walks are public bridle ways!
