Variety of distance & type of walks for dogs. Staff are so friendly. Choice of indoor or outdoor (covered) seating in cafe to eat with your dog, treats & water always available

Fascinating archaeological site with wonderful walks down to the river and through the woods - dogs love it! Picnic under the trees, snack kiosk and cafe (with dog treats!) available! Water bowls around the Courtyard. A great day out for all.

Where are dogs allowed?
We love dogs at Sutton Hoo and your canine companions are welcome across all of our estate walks. Please keep your dog on a short lead at all times, this is vital to protect sheep and their lambs which are currently grazing on site. If you have forgotten your dog lead, they are available to purchase from the shop. Where can’t my dog go? Assistance dogs only are allowed in the High Hall exhibition, Tranmer House and the viewing tower. Lead tie points are available by the High Hall exhibition and
