Stourton Estates
The Stourton Estate is situated between Wragby and Horncastle, just off the A158 on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds. This is a family -run business which has been in operation since 1926 and whilst it is mainly an arable farm, there are now herds of Red Deer living in the historic parklands. Great care is taken of the environment and wildlife is encouraged bringing a diverse range of species living on the estate.
Over the last 20 years the business has diversified into a number of areas, whilst carefully restoring the important historic features on the estate. The team has responsibly managed the woodland, restored lakes and created rides for visitors to access safely and ensure they are manageable for years to come.
Over the last 10 years they have welcomed visitors to the farm on guided visits, photography tours, walks, tractor & trailer rides to see the Red Deer as well as hosting a number of charity events, popular camping weekends as well as private weddings and even outdoor cinema! In November 2018 a magical enchanted woodland light show was enjoyed by young children and dog lovers alike and will be extended over 2 nights in 2019 together with a whole raft of other events in order to promote the venue to become a more popular visitor attraction.
Stourton Estates also use timber from the woodlands (and from others locally) to produce and sell high quality kiln dried logs, woodchip and landscaping products as well as delicious home grown venison and Christmas Trees (in season).
The team would be delighted to meet you at one of their events soon!
