Rheged

Rheged is a gallery, café, cinema, shopping venue, workplace and creative space on the edge of the Northern Lakes. A place where friends, family and colleagues can share a meal, watch a film, hold a meeting, see an exhibition, buy a gift or catch up over coffee. A flexible space for getting together or enjoying time alone with a book or notepad; a place where stories are told, ideas are sparked and the Cumbrian landscape is a constant source of inspiration. Dogs are allowed in our Foyer, Deli and all our shops, as well as the lower booths of our Café and Blencathra, our self-service seating area. However, dogs are not allowed in our Gallery, Design Shop and children’s play area. Only assistance dogs have access to the full centre. At the heart of Rheged, our new 100-seat cafe is a relaxed, light-flooded space with a pizza oven and juice bar. Our inclusive menu showcases exceptional handmade foods and craft drinks from our region and beyond, including organic wines, real bread and locally roasted speciality coffee. Our shops sell clothing, home and lifestyle products that stand out for their beauty and quality. Curated with our place in mind but inspired by craft, design and talent from far and wide, our range encompasses niche British makers, ethical brands and items you’re unlikely to find elsewhere.
