Pounderspark evolved from helping out a local charity that re-homed unwanted dogs as we would allow them to use the day care center fields late afternoons after we had finished exercising our clients dogs. It was plane to see how much these dogs loved to run freely around off lead letting off steam.
So when the neighboring land of 15 acres became available we set about creating a safe private park and opened it to the public as our parks are so full of distractions and with so many now become lead only there are less and less places to exercise your dog properly. Research has shown that a dog does around 11-17 times more exercise off lead than if it was just taken on a lead walk. 
Also with behavioral problems on the increase which have been linked to not enough exercise it really did make sense.
We have pathways cut into the long grass, poo bins and fresh water along with some shelters if the weather turns nasty.  We also now added a toilet and kitchen area providing a hot drink or cold water for refreshments to walkers.
