Overlooking the River Tweed, Paxton House is a neo-Palladian Georgian mansion set in 80 acres of woodland, gardens and parklands. Visitors can enjoy a variety of walks and trails including the very popular Fairy Trail and Woodland Trail. Dogs are welcome in the grounds and our Stables Tearoom!

Visitors can enjoy a variety of walks and trails including the very popular Fairy Trail and Woodland Trail. Boat trips run down the river between March and November and there is a croquet lawn and 9-hole putting green, picnic areas, two adventure play parks and a host of children’s house and grounds competitions, nature trails and activities.
You're welcome to bring your dogs along to explore the grounds, although they must be kept on leads. You can also bring your four legged friends to our Stables Tearoom after a walk to refuel. Please not that only guide dogs are permitted to come inside the house.
While the house is only open from March - November, our grounds are open year round, with the opportunity to buy an annual grounds pass for just £15! A Day Adult Grounds Pass is priced at £5.

Grounds: open year round
Tearoom: Wednesday - Sunday 10am - 4pm while house is closed. Open 10am-5pm daily 28th March 2020 - 1st November 2020.
