Middleton Park
(1 review)
Middleton Park is four miles south of Leeds city centre and is a large green space covering over 470 acres. There are various tracks (surfaced and natural) running across both grassy areas and through woods. It also has a childrens playground, small fishing lake and cafe. It can be accessed via various footpaths on different sides of the park but cars need to use the main entrance on Town Street.

Lovely park to wander around with plenty of grass for dogs who chase balls and woodland for those who like to sniff out squirrels. The main surfaced track around the park provides excellent shade from the summer sun as it runs mainly through the wooded area. There are various other footpaths around the park but some of these can be quite muddy in wet weather.
Waste bins are mainly in the vicinity of the small lake and main building.
Highly recommend visiting end of April/early May when the woodland bluebells are in full bloom.
If you fancy a refreshment stop the centrally located Middleton Park Café does not allow dogs inside so you have to put up with being exposed to the elements. However if you make your way up to the Cycle Park/Ring Road edge of the park, The Urban Bike Café is dog friendly so you can escape the wind & rain and enjoy sitting at a proper indoor table.
