Jays Wood is a protected naturally grown native woodland that is in private grounds specifically designed for Dogs to walk their nervous or reactive Dogs, train puppies recall, exercise energetic Dogs, help with Dogs that need extra stimulation, show off their skills in the enrichment area, picnic or have a BBQ on the firepits and camp with their owners. With a seasonal stream, Wildlife pond and a wild woodland it's a nature lovers dream, with moss covered banks, Wild flowers and Dragonflies that zoom around the pond you can sit back and watch the world go by or trek or run like mad through the wild woodland called 'no man's land' until your ready to have a nap. Tents can be pitched up wherever you choose and for extra comfort the 'shack' can be used near the pond, 3 firepit areas are dotted over the land so you have options to change location so your Dog can truly explore the land. Jays Wood is an off grid site so we have limited Internet coverage, no electricity but have grey water on site for extinguishing fires and firewood for firepit meals so it's as far away from the modern world as possible although does have local Dog friendly pub (The White Horse) only a 5 min walk away and rural walks nearby but with 20 acres to explore you may decide to stay on site and put your feet up all day. Whether you want to camp out watching your Dog run through muddy puddles or sit in the sun cooking your next meal on the firepit with your pooch when you stay at Jays Woods it's exclusive to your Dogs to enjoy their holiday with no other Dogs, people, cyclists or traffic to worry about so even reactive Dogs can holiday in peace. Every booking supports the maintenance of Jays Wood protected Woodland and the registered charity Rosina Animal Centre that rescues and rehomes unwanted and neglected domestic animals in Kent Camping bookings tend to be over night stays due to other daytime bookings but if you require longer stays please ask to book in advance by a month.
