Dunstanburgh Castle
(1 review)
Dunstanburgh Castle is now ruinous, rated at one time among the largest and grandest castles in the north of England. The castle was protected on two sides by the sheer cliff face and the sea.

Victoria Firth, May 2017
Quite a walk from the car park, into Craster and across the fields beside the sea to Dunstanburgh Castle. It's a ruin but beautiful and worth a visit. Dog water bowl provided, my dog was allowed everywhere except up the tower which is too steep. On the return walk we stopped for an ice-cream and sat on the harbour wall, it was lovely.
