Cornish Seal Sanctuary
(3 reviews)
The Cornish Seal Sanctuary is a sanctuary for injured seal pups, and is owned by The SEA LIFE Trust. The centre is on the banks of the Helford River in Cornwall, England, UK, next to the village of Gweek
Dogs on leads are very welcome however, we ask that all vaccinations are up to date and there are only a few areas dogs aren't permitted (this does not apply to assistance dogs)
With 42 acres of land to enjoy, including woodlands, there is lots to excite your dog here at the Sanctuary. There are multiple dog water bowls around their site for your four-legged friends, dog bins to dispose of any waste and free degradable doggy bags around site for you to help yourself to during your visit – you can even take your dog on our Land Train!* Daily talks throughout the day. Our goal is to rescue and provide expert care for sick, injured, or distressed seals and other marine animals in need of help who are found around their shores. We aim to release them back into their natural environment once they are back to full health. For seals and other marine animals that are unable to be released back into the wild receive ongoing care. Open 7 days a week excluding Christmas day.

We found our visit extremely dog friendly and family friendly, the seals came right up to the glass viewing window. Defiantly highly recommend this dog friendly attraction😀
Julie Buckingham, August 2023
It is one of the best dog friendly attractions we have visited, the seals interacted with dogs through the underwater glass observation windows.

Although our dog 🐕 kept barking at the seals 🦭 the staff were totally unfazed by him and did not ask us to leave. The seal sanctuary is so peaceful in places that we went there twice on our holiday.
