Carisbrooke Castle
Carisbrooke has been an Elizabethan artillery fortress, a king's prison and a royal summer residence. Dogs on a lead are welcome and if they are able to cope with negotiating the many stone steps and narrow castle walls then there are some superb far reaching panoramic views for their human owners to enjoy. Otherwise just take in the historical stories, Edwardian Garden and peaceful St. Nicholas Chapel. Not forgetting the onsite café and gift shop.
