Calke Abbey

(1 review)

Calke Abbey is a Grade I listed country house near Ticknall We love dogs at Calke Abbey, and they’re more than welcome to visit the parkland, gardens and stableyards. Dogs are welcome to enjoy the 600-acre parkland, gardens, stableyards and Calke Explore. We also welcome dogs in the stableyard café near the ticket office, open at weekends, bank holidays and school holidays. Please note the main restaurant remains open for assistance dogs only. Dogs can be off-lead in many areas of the estate, as long as they’re under close control. Download our dog-walking guide at the end of this page to find out where your dog can roam free. Just outside the restaurant courtyard there are tethering rings and water bowls for your dog. You will also find water bowls outside the café and plenty of shaded eating areas.

Lovely day out at Calke Abbey. Can take the dog around any of the grounds. Not allowed inside in the cafe, but plenty of seating outside on a nice day.
