Black Birches Garden Centre & Tea Room
With a full range of annuals and herbaceous perennials, trees and shrubs, and over 600 varieties of roses, you are sure to find something to enhance your garden.
Enjoy a coffee and the views across the beautiful grounds of the 12th Century Black Birches house, or stay and enjoy a home-made lunch or afternoon tea.
Find the perfect plant for your garden: From herbaceous borders to rose beds and pot gardens, we’re here to help you create the look you want in the space you have available. Whether it’s the subtle beauty of an 18th century rose or a bold new bulb variety that you have in mind, we’re here to advise and help you make the best choice for your garden.
Come for lunch or afternoon tea: Our tea room is a destination for garden enthusiasts from far and wide. It’s also the perfect spot for local folk to enjoy delicious food, freshly brewed coffee and a good gardening book. Our scones have a well earned reputation and are not to be missed!
Dogs are welcome: We are dog friendly at Black Birches. As long as your four-legged friend is on a lead, they are more than welcome to join you for a wander around the garden centre.
Children's Play Area: Make the most of your visit with a stop at our adventure playground. Take a seat and relax amongst our landscaped grounds while the little ones play on our climbing frame, or join in the action and have a family game of boules or croquet. Work as a team to find our family of 12 hand painted hedgehogs.
Follow us on Facebook for updates on children’s events and workshops.
