Windermere Lodge is a beautiful detached lodge in a peaceful corner of the popular resort of White Cross Bay. Only a few minutes’ walk from the shores of the beautiful Lake Windermere and having access to extensive on site facilities including a leisure club with indoor swimming pool, sauna and gym. Surrounded by mature woodland and greenery, this delightful lodge is a great base for enjoying the site and exploring the wider south lakes area. Windermere Lodge is on one level (with only a few steps up to the decking) and offers three lovely bedrooms, one en-suite shower room, a family bathroom two twin rooms (one with zip link beds) a sunny open plan sitting room, dining room and kitchen and a great deck from which to sit and watch the world go by. White Cross Bay has everything you need for your holidays; a shop, restaurant, swimming pool and leisure club along with beautiful woodland walks and access to the water’s edge. There are also sailing and other watersports on offer and for those bringing their own boat, launching facilities. When you venture off site, you will find the villages of Windermere, Bowness and Ambleside only a mile or so away. Bowness in particular is a thriving, bustling village from where you can catch one of the many pleasure boats to explore all 13 miles of Windermere Lake or simply stroll along the promenade to enjoy the views. Younger visitors will enjoy the pitch and putt golf, the rowing boats for hire and the World of Beatrix Potter. Less than 10 minutes’ drive away is the charming town of Ambleside which has the famous Bridge House and Stock Ghyll Falls plus the fabulous baker, The Apple Pie, which sells delicious cakes and pies!
