VIPooch experience exploring Cadair Idris in Wales

When you are a true hiking enthusiast but still like a dose of luxury – the Tynrhyd retreat is a place to go! Five star self catering holiday offer 4 astonishing apartments and individual rooms where you can take up to three four legged friends free of charge.

We started our blissful weekend break less than an hours drive from the hotel where we explored various trails up the Cadair Idris or as locals would call it – Cader Idris or chair of Idris the Giant. There are several trails leading to the Pen Y Gadair but each of them requires around 2 – 3 hours to get to the summit while admiring luminous scenery.

Allow yourself to spend some more time at the retreat itself as there are plenty of things to do starting from a quiet stroll around 13 acres of grounds, following a snooker tournament in the games room or a relaxed dip in the outdoor hot tub with rural countryside views.

Not only we were made welcomed by one of the owners of the estate , we were also greeted by the resident cats which was a surprising discovery for our beagles. Both of our pooches recieved their own comfy bed, blanket and a bowl full of treats which made their stay memorable and truly enjoyable.
