Set over two floors, there are two light and airy bedrooms on the first floor, plus the family bathroom. A well-equipped galley-style kitchen with dining area leads out onto the decked veranda. There is a lovely sitting room, split into two areas, providing a relaxing area to sit and watch the TV and a cosy snug area with warming woodburner, perfect for the children to watch TV whilst you sit and relax after a day’s adventures. Outside, you can sit and eat breakfast on the enclosed spacious raised veranda that looks down the little wooded valley and enjoy a cup of tea and plan the activities for your day. A small stream runs along the valley through to Burry Port and to the coastline of South Wales. Burry Port’s sandy beach is popular with surfers and The Millennium Coastal Path runs through the harbour and into the Pembrey Country Park, home to sandy beaches, forestry, parkland and a wealth of family activities from golf, skiing and a miniature railway. You are ideally placed to explore the fabulous Gower Peninsula of South Wales, with its sweeping sandy beaches, the iconic Worms Head at Rhossilli and The Mumbles both less than an hour’s drive away. The Coastal Path of Wales sweeps in both directions with a myriad of footpaths and cycle trails and the nearby area offers watersports, golf and horse riding. Why not spend a day at the races at Ffos Las? Take a trip to the WWT Wetland Centre at Llanelli and feed the collection of rare birds or catch a game of rugby in Llanelli. Slightly further afield all within an hour’s drive, take a trip to home of the literary iconic town of Laugharne, home of Dylan Thomas, or further along the coast visit the pretty harbour town of Tenby with its multi-coloured houses and nearby days out at Oakwood Theme Park or Folly Farm.
