Askrigg, known as Darrowby in the TV series All Creatures Great and Small, is only a short walk across the fields or an easy drive away, and also has tea shops, a village shop and a deli/bakery. This is a great location for walkers, from the castles at Bolton and Middleham, to Hardraw Force, England's highest single drop waterfall.
