The Old Chapel (G)
Sleeps: 4
A really stunning chapel conversion - stylish, romantic, luxurious - a perfect rural escape for a couple or two.
This super characterful holiday retreat has the 'wow factor' in abundance. With clever interior design, the use of fabulous fabrics, statement wallpapers and heritage paint colours, an eclectic mix of contemporary and 'antique' furniture, and super comfy beds that you won't want to get out of, the interior has a slightly boutique, industrial/warehouse feel with an odd 'nod' to the chapel's past.
Enter the front door and walk into an open-plan, light-filled living space combining the kitchen, a dining area and an elegant, but cosy seating area around a wood burning stove (pour a glass of wine, open a good book and take a pew). Double french doors lead out onto the terrace (with glazed canopy and bespoke dining table) and pretty parterre garden, with open rural views beyond. At the rear of the room, a door opens into a wonderful chill-out, dual aspect snug/cinema-style tv room, with sumptuous four-seater sofa and widescreen television inset into library shelving and door opening onto the patio. Upstairs are two glamorous bedrooms (king-size and super-king zip-and-link, both dressed with high thread count linen) and two bathrooms.
Although The Old Chapel is just perfect for a romantic getaway, it is equally suitable for a group of friends, as well as a small family. This pretty and peaceful rural village is a superb base from which to explore both rural and coastal North Norfolk at any time of the year. Only a twenty minute drive to the beautiful north Norfolk coast where you can discover charming coastal villages, some excellent gastro pubs, wonderful scenery and lots more. For boutique shopping, the popular Georgian market towns of Holt and Burnham Market are both within easy reach. The nearby market town of Fakenham has a fabulous Thursday market, its own well attended racecourse and Pensthorpe Nature Reserve and The Hawk & Owl Trust on its doorstep. Thursford, famous for its Christmas Spectacular and Steam Collection, is but a short drive away.

Two well behaved dogs are welcome (small additional charge).
