The Glen (Ilmington)

Dogs: 2

Sleeps: 5

This charming Grade II listed stone cottage in Ilmington is part thatched and has an attractive enclosed garden overlooking the Norman church. The village is surrounded by good walking countryside and is just eight miles from Stratford-upon-Avon. Ilmington is a delightful village nestling at the foot of the Cotswold hills, surrounded by good walking countryside and lying in one of the UK's designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Two traditional country pubs (including the Howard Arms, well-known locally for its excellent restaurant) are within easy walking distance of the cottage in addition to the well-stocked village shop.
Enter into a large dining hall, perfect for more formal or special celebrations around the dining table. Through into the large breakfast kitchen, well-equipped for preparing family meals and complete with a sofa and informal dining area enabling all to gather and keep "chef" company. The cosy sitting room has a feature inglenook fireplace and comfortable seating to retire to and enjoy the warmth, glow and crackle of the open fire. Upstairs, bedroom one is spacious and light with a king-size mahogany sleigh bed and en-suite shower room. Choose between a super-king size bed or twin single beds in bedroom two and finally, bedroom three is a comfortable single; bedrooms two and three share the family bathroom
Step out of the french doors in the kitchen onto the patio or wander up the steps to the second level lawned area and enjoy al fresco evenings in this charming garden, or retreat to the summer house for a little more comfort. For children wishing to explore, ask them to seek out the secluded Wendy house at the top of this gently sloping garden.
