The Gap

Sleeps: 4

"The Gap" is situated at the end of a charming terraced row of mid 19th century cottages with outstanding views over the village deer park and of the rolling Cotswold hills beyond. With sumptuous furnishings and stylish finishes throughout, you may not want to leave this stunning bolthole to explore the wonderful countryside on your doorstep. "The Gap" sits at the end of a charming row of terraced cottages with enviable rear views over a deer park and the rolling Cotswold countryside beyond. This stunning three-storey Cotswold stone cottage has been beautifully furnished, featuring bi-folding doors leading from the sitting room onto the sun terrace and rear garden, perfect for that morning coffee or relaxing on a summer's evening. This is a perfect bolthole for all seasons, with the fully equipped modern kitchen and underfloor heating throughout.
Entering at the ground level, you are greeted by an entrance hall leading into the stunning open-plan kitchen/dining area. The kitchen is well-equipped with granite worktops, a Smeg range oven, and the best views you will ever see from the kitchen sink! The dining area has a table with bespoke bench seating for four guests. Downstairs is a luxurious sitting room, filled with light from the pyramid skylight and bi-folding doors leading out onto the pretty sun terrace, complete with garden furniture and a barbecue. There is also a utility room and cloakroom to the rear of the lower ground floor.
Upstairs on the top floor are two beautifully presented bedrooms; one with a king-size bed and another with a double bed. The master bedroom enjoys more stunning views over the Cotswold countryside. On this level there is also a modern shower room with a large walk-in shower.
Outside, the beautiful garden leads down to the lower sun terrace looking across the deer park.
Blockley is a quintessentially English golden stone village, situated within the rolling hills of the North Cotswolds, between Moreton-in-Marsh (with direct rail links to London Paddington) and Chipping Campden. Guests staying at The Gap can enjoy an abundance of scenic walks over the surrounding countryside. Blockley's picturesque church, churchyard and vicarage can be recognised from the filming of "Father Brown", a BBC detective drama set in the 1950s. Other notable buildings in the village include: a brookside converted water mill; a wonderful community cafe with a well stocked shop for all your essentials; and two pubs within walking distance. Mill Dene Gardens within the village is open to the public during May and June. The ever popular towns of Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water and Broadway are just a short drive away.
