Rosebank

Dogs: 2

Sleeps: 4

This charming, self-contained, single-storey wing of the owners’ attractive bungalow is situated in well-tended gardens, within the residential area of Titchfield Common in Southern Hampshire. This lovely cottage is just two miles from Titchfield village and three miles from the coast at Meon Shore. There’s a real home-from-home feel about this bungalow, it is cosy and comfortably furnished and is equipped with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing and carefree break. Guests can enjoy cooking up tasty meals in the kitchen with small breakfast bar, and after a busy day exploring the area, why not relax in the sitting room, which also boasts a dining area for enjoying those meals together? Patio doors lead from the sitting room out to the shared garden where you can enjoy alfresco dining on warmer evenings, whilst discussing where you’d like to visit the following day. Guests can then head to bed to enjoy a good night’s sleep, in either the double or twin bedroom, before the next day’s adventures begin. Take in a visit to the fascinating medieval ruins of nearby Titchfield Abbey, well cared for by English Heritage, or take a stroll through Titchfield Haven Nature Reserve, at the mouth of the River Meon, often frequented by numerous varieties of waterfowl and migrating birds. Being halfway between the bustling centres of Southampton and Portsmouth, there are plenty of opportunities to indulge in a bit of retail therapy! However, if you tire of that, you can explore Portsmouth’s historic dockyard, or take a day trip to the Isle of Wight, with regular ferries running from both centres. For all things nautical, park up at Hill Head, Warsash or Lee-on-the-Solent, where the adventurous can take part in all kinds of watersports, leaving the less energetic to enjoy a picnic and view the impressive international shipping traffic entering and leaving the busy port of Southampton. At the end of your day, you will appreciate returning to this warm and welcoming holiday home. All ground floor. Two bedrooms: 1 x double. 1 x twin. Bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC.
