Built by the owner in the basin of an old quarry and named after a much-loved family pet, Pal's Cabin is a fabulous, bolthole hideaway for four. With thermostatically controlled heat source pump underfloor heating, quality fitted kitchen and bathrooms, and comfortably furnished in a simple Nordic style, reflecting the building and surrounding wooded landscape, this is the perfect place to wind down, enjoy the peaceful setting and wildlife that abounds outside.
The light-filled open-plan living area has a modern, well-equipped kitchen adjoining the dining and sitting area where extra warmth is added by a contemporary wood burning stove. Full-size windows with french doors on two sides of the room open on to the decked verandah which surrounds the cabin. Two bedrooms (king-size and twin) and two bathrooms, along with a utility room, complete the picture.
An easy fifteen minute level walk will take you into the pretty Georgian town of Holt, with its independent shops, restaurant and cafes (please note there is a steepish slope leading down to the cabin from the entrance driveway).
Additional Information
Up to three well-behaved dogs are welcome at Pal's Cabin (small additional charge). Dogs are not to be left unattended, or allowed on the beds. The owner provides water bowls, towels, mud daddy and sofa throws.
Charging electric cards from the property is not permitted.
There is no charging facility for electric cars.
