St Mawgan is a picturesque village nestled in the wooded Lanherne valley. The River Menalhyl runs through the village, which is home to the popular Falcon Inn, a traditional village pub with a roaring fire, wooden beams and an award winning garden. The village also has a village shop, tearoom, and a Japanese garden. The cottage is located just 5 minutes drive, or a 35 minute walk to Mawgan Porth. Mawgan Porth has a stunning sandy beach with cliffs either side, rock pools, and the bay provides fantastic surfing, great sand castle building, and also allows dogs. This award winning beach is patrolled by lifeguards and has an excellent beach shop, restaurants, and pub. Mawgan Porth is also located near to Watergate Bay, Bedruthan Steps, and Padstow. Horse riding, surfing lessons, kayaking and coasteering can all be booked nearby.
