Resting on the outskirts of the charming town of Chapel-en-le-Frith in the heart of the Peak District is this incredible property, Old Barn Bowden Head, offering beautifully furnished rooms and luxurious facilities. Suitable for a large family or a group of ten, this marvellous abode hosts five bedrooms along with spacious and well-equipped rooms to relax within. Be greeted into the lofty hallway and find your way to the bright and impressive kitchen and dining room, enjoying a split-level layout, the gleaming white units hold a fantastic range of appliances on one side, including a striking red AGA cooker, an American fridge freezer and on the other side an elevated level holds the dining table. Use this room to gather in the mornings, eating a delicious breakfast at the breakfast bar, cooking for the family, and organising plans for the coming days, with a utility room that has additional tall larder fridge and chest freezer for extra storage on this floor too for all you need for a self-catered stay, the utility room also houses a second dishwasher. Head down the open-tread stairs to the lower-ground-floor and come to the fantastic cinema room, a snug space complete with a huge corner sofa and a large cinema projector screen resting above the open fireplace, perfect for having a family movie night together. Next door is the games room, where a wall-mounted TV, study desk and full size pool/snooker table all await you to delight in some creative or family competition. Move up to the upper-first floor, another level in between the ground and first floor, home to the living room/diner, where a beautiful feature stone wall boasts a woodburning stove, with plush seating and a large TV arranged around it beneath a retro wood panelled ceiling, you can enjoy the homely feel of the classic interiors. For special occasions and celebratory meals, make use of the dining table which seats 12 guests so there is space for all. The wonders of this property continue outside, where a heated swimming pool provides a wealth of entertainment for all ages, enjoy splashing about with the children on warm summer days, before settling on the patio terrace for a refreshing drink in the outside bar with another American fridge freezer, and also an adjacent toilet and undercover BBQ. With several other spaces to enjoy including a lawned area, and a timber decking with a fire pit where far-reaching views across the Peaks provide the perfect backdrop. When it’s time to get some rest, enjoy choosing from one of the five bedrooms resting on the first floor and upper-first floor, with the master bedroom benefiting from an en-suite bathroom, vaulted ceilings and exposed beams, offering a delightful place to wind down in at the end of the day. There’s another double room and a twin room on this floor, while up to the upper-first floor brings you to two more double rooms which feature sloping ceilings. A ground-floor shower room and a first-floor bathroom provide excellent spaces to freshen up, choose to enjoy a long soak after a brisk walk in the Peaks or a quick shower before heading out for the evening. If you can tear yourself away from this incredible base, head out into the Peaks to begin getting to know one of the most beautiful areas of the UK, find endless routes and trails all around with varying degrees of difficulty to suit all, you can then find a cosy pub to retreat to for a well-earned pint and pub dinner. Head into Chapel-en-le-Frith and wander around the quaint shops and local businesses, or venture further into the Peaks to Hayfield, popular with walkers who are attracted by its close proximity to Kinder Scout, serious walkers head east out of the village, up and over the green foothills to the russet expanse of the Kinder Plateau, Pennine Way and Snake Path, whilst families (and those who enjoy more gentle rambles) head west along the beautiful Sett Valley Trail towards New Mills. Nearby is a historic of Buxton offering thermal spa town offering natural wonders like Poole's Cavern, host to several festivals each year and enjoying a rich history that you can immerse yourself in at the Buxton Museum & Art Gallery, along the Buxton Heritage Trail and the famous Georgian Crescent.
