On our peaceful and private Marina…
2 and 3 bedroom detached waterside holiday lodges (please see our website for individual details), River Breeze, River Retreat, River Rest, River Bay are all set on the water’s edge at Brundall, Norfolk Broads. All lodges have private mooring for your own or hired boat and fishing is available from the garden. Within these cosy and unique lodges, you’ll find all the conveniences of home, from fully-equipped kitchens to comfortable bedrooms and welcoming lounge spaces. Outdoors, terraces and gardens invite you to enjoy nature at this waterside location.
On the Main River: River Yare…
River View boasts a prime position on the River Yare. Our blue beauty is always in demand so early booking is advised. This charming riverside property is perfect for family & friends or couples on a romantic getaway. The property sleeps 4 people in one King bedroom and 1 twin bedroom. There is a large decking area overlooking the river, ideal for sitting out and enjoying the views and the sunset is spectacular. Fishing is available from the decking at the bottom of the garden (in season - rod license required) and there is private quay headed mooring for your own boat. Slipway access is on request at our marina just down the road!
Nature's Nook (new build April 2023) features a timber interior and is set on the banks of the River Yare with wonderful river views. This quirky waterside lodge has 1 double room and a second bedroom with a small double / single bunk bed. Suitable for 4 plus 1 child. Nature's Nook has private quay headed mooring for your own or hired boat. Slipway access is on request at our marina just down the road!
Ferry Lodge, New for 2024 with 3 bedrooms sleeping up to 7 including a king en-suite with shower, a double bedroom and a bunk room with single over double with an additional large bathroom with walk in shower. Ferry Lodge is open plan with a cosy yet spacious feel with 2 french doors overlooking the decked 2 tier terrace and those gorgeous river views. Coldham Hall pub is just across the river - bring your own kayaks, paddleboards or boats to pop across.
All of our lodges are located in the village of Brundall, the centre for boat building and boat hire, and which has its own railway station, shop/post office, mini-market, hairdresser, Chinese takeaway, fish and chips shop, bakery/cafe with marina views from the terrace, Indian Restaurant/takeaway and local pubs all serving good food; Coldham Hall is just across the river so bring your kayaks, canoes and paddleboards or bring or hire a boat to venture across for their delicious offerings or take a stroll down to the local, and super dog friendly, White Heron to sample their great food and drink.
The surrounding seaside towns and villages of Gorleston-on-Sea, Hemsby, Caister-on-Sea, California, Newport and Hopton-on-Sea all offer entertainment for a family holiday. Visit the dog friendly Winterton-on-Sea, Horsey with it’s seal colony and Sea Palling for it’s unspoilt natural beauty as well as the pretty Broadland villages and countryside which can all be explored by car.
Norfolk’s finest sandy beaches 12 miles. Shops 1 mile. Dog friendly Pub and Cafe, boat hire and train station all within 400-800m. Train links to Norwich and Great Yarmouth.
An ideal touring base…The train station is just a stroll from our lodges with links to the fine city of Norwich only 8 miles away, with its excellent shopping, theatre, restaurants, inns, cafés, castle and museum. In the other railway direction is Great Yarmouth for an ice-cream on the beach and all the fun at the Pleasure Beach with rides and amusements to keep all the family happy.
Brundall is a perfect location for a river-based holiday…
With fun boating, kayaking, canoeing and paddle boarding, you definitely won’t be bored on the river. See if you can spot the seals, otters, the variety of birdlife and flora and fauna. Visit the riverside pubs for a refreshing drink and tuck into good food in-between exploring the protected national park and River Yare.
The variety of fish on the Broads include: pike, carp, eel, bream, roach, trench, perch and rudd. A fishing licence is required, this can be purchased online via the Environment Agency. Fishing available during open season. Closed season is between 14th March - 16th June. Bait fridge at each holiday lodge.
