Privately owned self catering dog friendly accommodation nestled in the heart of Sherwood Forest for up to 6 people, with private hot tub. No charge for 1st 3 dogs. £10 per dog per stay thereafter.
Read MoreLoxley's Lodge provides self-catering accommodation for up to 6 people in the heart of Sherwood Forest, home of Robin Hood. The Lodge is located approximately 1 mile down a single track lane off the A614 trunk road. This affords easy access to a variety of tourist attractions, activities and a large network of cycle tracks and woodland walks whilst also offering a secluded, private and peaceful base from which to enjoy the forest. There is a fully equipped kitchen which incorporates a built in oven and hob, an eye-level microwave, fridge-freezer, washer-dryer and dishwasher. The main bathroom has a bath with shower above and there is an additional shower in the en-suite. The lodge has 3 bedrooms with an en-suite attached to the master bedroom. There are televisions in the living area and in all 3 bedrooms, all with Freesat and DVD players (Blu-ray player in the living area). Two of the bedrooms can be arranged as either twins or doubles (Superking size) whilst the master bedroom features a Kingsize log bed.
There is a large network of forest trails and paths, accessible from the door, ideal for walking, running, cycling, canicross or bikejoring.

We have stayed at many lodges and none have been as dog friendly as Loxleys Lodge, you get a lovely welcome pack with treats, toys etc for your dog, the forest is on your doorsteps with so many lovely walks, you are a short drive away from dog friendly pubs with great food. There is so much space for your dog to run around and play in the lodges gardens. The owner is so nice and our dog loves her.

Just back from our second visit to Loxley's Lodge and would highly recommend it. The lodge is well designed with everything you need including a gas BBQ and lovely hot tub. The beds and bedding are super-comfy and its nice to have TV's in each bedroom. The location is just great; peaceful and isolated although a close and easy drive to local shops and attractions. Plenty of parking outside for 3 cars. The best part for us was that our 5 dogs were welcome to visit and they loved the large outdoor space which was fully enclosed. A big bonus just to open the door and let them out to play without worrying about them escaping. Also, the forest opposite is great for them to run around. Liz is a great host and she leaves the most amazing welcome basket for both humans and dogs. Thanks Liz for another lovely stay. Hope to be back.

A great dog friendly place with an enclosed garden. There are good walks nearby to do with the dog as well.

Dogs are allowed everywhere but if you would like your dogs in the bedrooms, please bring your own bedding or plenty of throws.
