The royal, coastal town of Caernarfon is just two miles away and offers a good selection of shops, its impressive 13th century castle, well-preserved town walls and attractive waterfront as well as the Welsh Highland Railway, where you can travel through some of the most splendid Welsh countryside to Beddgelert and the harbour town of Porthmadog. From here you can also visit the unspoilt Snowdonia National Park, the Llyn Peninsula and the Isle of Anglesey, all offering unforgettable experiences.
